Our company is founded in 2005 by the Veterinary surgeon Egemen Önder. Our company consists of veterinary surgeons specializing in animal health and wellbeing. We also supply a wide range of products for import, distribution and marketing, including frozen bull semen. Our main aim is the protection and improvement of animal health in our country, for cattle, sheep, goats, cats, dogs and poultry. We provide vaccines medicines and support services to clinics, farms and cooperatives, universities, municipalities, public institutions and organizations.
Although the animal assets in our country are less visible, the largest production sector of the country is currently agriculture and animal husbandry. Since the day our company is founded, Egevet Kıbrıs has tried to serve the livestock sector with the best of the industry and the latest technologies.
In conjunction with Alltech Biotechnology Ltd., in 2005, we started to distribute in our country and inform and advise of the latest animal husbandry about feeding and raising animals. We introduced our breeders to a new product, yeast, and then offered organic minerals, toxin binders and growth factors.
In 2006, World Wide Sires, the world leader in its field, began importing frozen bull sperm into our country. We are proud to be the first company to import, market and apply semen.
In 2007, Egevet took distributorship of Ata Fen which is operating in Turkey, developed product range, and presented new products to the market.
In 2008, we signed an agreement with Delaval K.K.T.C (Techno Farming Ltd.) about the marketing of products and have helped build success on mutual marketing.
In 2011, we began trading with Deva (East Farm), in 2012 with MSD Animal Health and in 2014 with Norbrook when we were introduced to the quality products of these companies.
In 2017, we took the distributorship of GGI-Spermex.
In 2017, we were the first to implement the produce, sale, distribution and export of feed additive, and in this context to construct a factory for this purpose.
In 2018, we added to our portfolio, the distributorship of Cargill.
In 2019, we took the distributorship of S.T. Genetics.
In 2019, we started to import products from LIVISTO and Mervue Laboratories.
In 2020, we formed a laboratory inside our main office. We can analyze feed with NIR device, detect mycotoxins in feed, detect aflatoxin and antibiotics in raw milk together with other devices that helps us to maintain a healthier living animal in farms.
In 2021, we successfully got our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate and in 2022 we received our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certificate for production of animal feed and feed additives.
Furthermore, we are importing various kinds of raw materials, ready products, and equipment from various European and Asian countries. At present, our company has two local branches, a factory, warehouse and the head office in Vadili (Famagusta) and one coordination office in Famagusta. We have seventeen employees in our company, with six being veterinaries.
