Inactive Bacterial Vaccine against Pasteurellosis, Black Disease, Malignant edema, Enterotexemia, E. coli(Escherichia Coli) diarrhoea of Cattle, Sheep and Goats

THE COMPONENTS: It is sterile, with the upper side clear-coloured and the below side opaque-coloured vaccination. It becomes homogeneous and opaque whenever it is shaken.

Active Ingredients: The minimum rates for 1 dosage(2ml).

  • Pasteurella multocida- For mice, PD50 log>2 protection
  • Mannheimia haemolytica Type 1- For mice, PD50 log>2 protection
  • Mannheimia haemolytica Type 2- For mice, PD50 log>2 protection
  • Clostridium novyi Alpha antitoxin- >3.5 IU/ml
  • Clostridium septicum Alpha antitoxin- >2.5 IU/ml
  • Clostridium perfringens type B- Beta antitoxin> 10 IU/ml and Epsilon antitoxin* > 5 IU/ml
  • Clostridium perfringens type C- Beta antitoxin* >10 IU/ml
  • Clostridium perfringens type D- Epsilon antitoxin* > 5 IU/ml
  • Clostridium chouvoei- at least %90 protection for Guinea pigs
  • Escherichia coli (E.coli)- >100 AU (Aglutinin Unit)*
  • Thiomersal- %0.01 Preserver

*These are the protective responses found in the serum of immunized rabbits.

It is inactivated with formaldehyde. Aluminum Hydroxide was absorbed into the gel.

IMMUNOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Pharmatherapeutic group: Inactive Bacterial Vaccine Against Pasteurellosis, Black Disease, Malignant Edema, Necrotic Hepatitis, Enterotoxemia and E. coli Diarrhea of Cattle, Sheep and Goats.

Area of Use/ Indications: This vaccine is used to provide active immunity against various diseases in healthy cattle, sheep, and goats. These diseases include Pasteurellosis caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica, Blackleg(Black Disease) caused by Clostridium chauvoei, Malignant Edema (also known as Bradzot Disease) caused by Clostridium septicum, and Clostridium novyi (also known as Clostridium perfringens Type B). Additionally, it helps prevent Enterotoxemia caused by C and D and diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli.

How to Use/ Dosage: It is applied subcutaneously in an amount of 4 ml to healthy cattle over three months old, and 2 ml to sheep and goats. The second dose can be applied in 2-4 weeks after the first dose. If animals below three months of age are vaccinated, vaccination should be repeated at the time of weaning or 4-6 months, considering maternal antibodies.

SPECIFIC CLINICAL INFORMATION AND WARNINGS FOR TARGET SPECIES: It should be applied to healthy animals older than three months. The vaccination must be at room temperature before the administration. The vaccine must be transported or stored in a cold chain. Vaccines that are frozen or out of the cold chain should not be used. It is essential to never use bottles that have damaged packaging. The vaccine should be homogenized by shaking before and during use. Asepsis and antisepsis rules must be followed during the application of the vaccine. 

How to Use During Pregnancy, Lactation, and Ovulation: It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. However, it is not recommended to be applied in the late stages of pregnancy due to the stress created during the vaccination process.

UNDESIRED EFFECTS: A short-term slight increase in body temperature and limited swelling at the injection site are normal vaccine reactions after vaccination. Very rarely, hypersensitivity and anaphylactic reactions may occur. In such cases, adrenaline or similar preparations should be administered.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: There is no information about its interaction when used with other vaccines. Therefore, the use of the product on the same day or at different times with other products has not been proven to be effective and reliable. It should not be mixed or applied together with any other product.

SYMPTOMS, PRECAUTIONS AND ANTIDOTE IN OVERDOSE: The vaccine has been found safe in studies even at twice the recommended dose for the target species. Adrenaline and similar preparations should be used when necessary.

WARNINGS FOR RESIDUES ANIMALS WITH A FOOD VALUE: Twenty-eight days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: It is not known. 

GENERAL WARNINGS: Keep it in a place out of reach and sight of children. If an unexpected effect occurs, consult a veterinarian.

PRECAUTIONS THAT THE PRACTITIONER SHOULD TAKE AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SPECIALISTS: The vaccine is harmless for the practitioner. 

How to Preserve and Shelf Life: It should be stored at +2/+8°C, in the refrigerator and in the dark. Do not freeze it. Once opened, it should be consumed on the same day. Opened bottles should be stored in the refrigerator at +2/+8°C under unopened product conditions. The cold chain must be maintained during use. Its shelf life is two years. 

WARNINGS FOR END-OF-USE DISPOSAL AND NON-TARGETED SPECIES:  After the use of the product, residual materials are disposed of as medical waste following the applicable waste regulations. It should not be used for non-targeted species. 

FORMS OF COMMERCIAL PRESENTATION: The mixture is put in 50ml and 100ml Type II glass, 250ml and 500ml polypropylene plastic bottles. Vaccine vials have butyl stoppers and aluminium caps. Vaccines are typically sold in styrofoam boxes without a box, along with their respective prospectuses.
