THE COMPONENTS/COMPOSITION: Combined Antiserum; It contains >1/640 AU/ml antibody against Escherichia coli K99 antigen and >50/IU/ml Beta antitoxin value antibody against Clostridium perfringens Type C antigen and 0.01% Thiomersal as a preservative.
INDICATIONS: Combined Antiserum is used for protection and treatment against septicemia caused by Escherichia coli and infections caused by Clostridium perfringens Type C in newborn calves, lambs and kid goats.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: It has none.
How to Apply and Dosage: Combined Antiserum is applied subcutaneously to newborn lambs and kids in an amount of 5ml and to calves in an amount of 10ml for protective purposes. For treatment purposes, it is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously in an amount of 10 ml to lambs and kids and 20 ml to calves in the first period when the disease begins and symptoms are observed. Since toxaemias caused by Clostridium perfringens Type C generally progress acutely and peracutely, it is recommended to apply the serum for protective purposes.
WARNINGS: Asepsis and antisepsis rules must be followed when applying Combined Antiserum. Before applying the serum to animals, it is important to ensure that it is brought to room temperature. The cold chain should be followed in storing and transporting serums; each opened antiserum bottle should be used on the same day, and unfinished or empty bottles should be disposed of properly.
SIDE EFFECTS: It doesn’t have any side effects.
LEGAL PURIFICATION PERIOD: The legal purification period is not valid for immune antiserums. The antiserum does not contain any active agent.
How to Store: It should be stored at +2/ +8°C and in the dark.
PACKAGING STRUCTURE: Combined Antiserum Type 2 will be packaged in glass bottles in quantities of 10ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. Antiserum bottles will be closed with a butyl stopper and aluminium cap and labelled.
DISPOSAL TERMS: Antiserum bottles that must be exterminated are annihilated by boiling for 15 minutes.
